Introduction

Most of you visiting this website will have arrived through the link emailed to you by a friend or relative. You probably have many questions and don't know where to start. We hope the following information will provide a basis for your understanding and help to guide you where to go next.

The Content of the Letter

The content of the letter is based on Biblical passages taken primarily from Daniel, Revelation and Matthew chapter 24. These prophetic passages make it clear that we are indeed living in the last days. For example, in Matthew 24 Jesus tells us that we will experience wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes. He also speaks of the rise of false prophets and an increase in lawlessness. These events precede "a great tribulation" such as never was. After this great time of tribulation, Jesus returns.

Daniel also speaks of this time of tribulation:

"Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued." Daniel 12:1

If you're wondering who Michael is, Michael is another name for Christ when He is engaged in battle. Clearly he is involved in a spiritual battle with Satan for those who worship God. But God's people need not worry. Daniel 7:22 tells us that judgment will be passed in favor of the God's people and they will take possession of God's kingdom.

The Economic Crisis

We are all too familiar with the financial crisis that has been felt around the world. Suffice it to say that students of prophecy have been waiting for a global financial crisis just like this, since it is hard to imagine the prophecies of Revelation being fulfilled without one. Revelation predicts a time when no one will be able to buy or sell unless he has a certain mark (Revelation 13:17). Clearly, in our "civilized" world this cannot happen unless there is a global economic crisis of epic proportions. Governments would have to make coordinated efforts and have the power and control necessary to implement and enforce this kind of discriminatory policy.

Are We Living in the Last Days?

Glenn Beck, Joe Scarborough and others in the media have asked this very question. Questions about the end of time have been especially pressed to the fore after 9/11, the Indonesian Tsunami of December 2004, and Hurricane Katrina (2005). Obviously, we believe most assuredly that the drastic increase of disasters points to the nearness of Jesus second coming. But why does God allow these things to happen? This very topic is an important one and will be explored in an upcoming article.
